What’s More Gimmicky Than The Wii Vitality Sensor?

The Wii Horseback Rider. Yep, you read that right. A peripheral that allows you to play horseback riding games might be in the works from Nintendo.  To prove it, the patent was filed yesterday for it. What is in the water over at Nintendo HQ?

It works by inserting the Wiimote into the device and using the nunchuck to control the characters on screen. Why would Nintendo create something like this?  I don’t know the answer, but I am willing to bet it will sell millions of units.  It’s just how Nintendo works.  Accept it. Move on.

Take a look though:

This looks kind of funny, but it might as well be Nintendo’s next big hit! There could be some serious potential here.

No, it has no potential. I refuse to say good things about something like this. If this becomes Nintendo’s next big hit, I’m going to smash my wii with a sledge hammer, throw the bits into a fireplace, scoop up the remains, put them in the microwave for an hour, then bury it in a hole.

I’m sure it won’t be bigger than Wii Fit/Wii Sports, but can’t you just see yourself playing along to Link’s Horseback Training

ZeldaFan says:

No.
